102 Regentville from FRNSW were called to Avida RV at Emu Plains for reports of an “alarm operating”. The incident was upgraded to a structure fire 4th alarm as a large column of smoke could be seen by crews responding to the incident.

They uploaded this short video showing in the initial stages of arriving, gaining entry and aggressive fire attack.

Great work! Stay safe.

Avida RV

Following on from last nights post, 102 were first arriving at Avida RV at Emu Plains to what developed into a 4th Alarm structure fire. After the initial call was received as an "alarm operating", a large column of smoke was visible en-route. The alarm level was raised immediately given the nature of the premises.Access was gained to the building via a side door and an aggressive internal attack had the fire cut off and knocked down very quickly. Assistance from Penrith Fire and Rescue crew was close behind and fire damage was limited to the area of origin.Attached is a short edited video of the fire crew from 102 at work inside the building. It shows the difficult conditions often faced by the first arriving crews at a structure fire, with poor visibility and difficult physical environment, and the importance of good team work and communications. It also shows how much we rely on our PPC and breathing apparatus to keep us alive!
