Not many stations out there can show off timber floors in their engine bay! Have a look at the great station that Mt Barker VFRS runs over in WA. It was built in the 60’s and shows off a real sense of pride in what they do.
We caught up with the crew from Newman VFRS in Western Australia and chewed the fat about their stations, what appliances they run and what a typical year is like for the crew over in WA. There’s also some great photography coming out of these guys, so well done!
These could well be contenders for best photos of the year! Taken by the crew of Newman VFRS, they show Tom Price BFB & Newman VFRS working together in tough conditions to drop in a backburn ahead of an approaching fire front. Great photos and great work out there. Stay safe!
