Ever wonder how a CAFS system would go pumping up tyres? Check out the air lines from the new QFES Heavy Attack Tanker being used to do just that!
With CAFS capabilities, a fireproof deployable awning and the ability to run air-powered tools, this heavy CAFS tanker is certainly impressive!
There was no cover charge and tickets were available at the door for this sweet foam party in Dunheved recently. One firefighter was overheard saying he hadn’t seen anything like this “since the late 90’s”!
Last week we posted a few photos of the prototype Engineering 6B from the NSW Rural Fire Service, it wasn’t long before it was put to use in a wildfire. Michael from Media Response Newcastle got these photos of the heavy in action.
This season Cameron Park RFB from the NSW RFS is trialling a Category 6 Bulk Water CAFS tanker. It holds 9000 litres of water and has a remote controlled monitor front monitor, allowing full CAFS operation from inside the cabin. Earlier this week it got out to a local hazard reduction and put some wet stuff on the red stuff.
This post is *HUGE* and if you like CAFS – this post is for you! We’ve collated a stack of photos and video from a fire that has brought appliances from all over the country for their bulk water and CAFS capabilities.
