Valentines day in turned out to be quite the day for Western Sydney firefighters, responding to a bushfire which had spread to a neighbouring house and then a persons reported house fire in a separate location at the same time.

Crews from Mount Druitt, Ropes Crossing, Schofields and St Mary’s were in attendance at the first incident with bush alight in a park which had spread to and impacted a house, while crews from Blacktown, Parramatta, Yennora, Concord and St Mary’s (again) were responded to the persons reported house fire – having been moved up to cover area.

St Marys posted this footage of their internal primary search of the building to confirm no occupants were still trapped inside.

Search and rescue operations of a townhouse in Mount Druitt last week after a bush fire had spread to the structure.Utilising the thermal imaging camera (TIC) and torch to ensure no occupants are inside the house.
