Valentines day in turned out to be quite the day for Western Sydney firefighters, responding to a bushfire which had spread to a neighbouring house and then a persons reported house fire in a separate location at the same time.
Crews from Mount Druitt, Ropes Crossing, Schofields and St Mary’s were in attendance at the first incident with bush alight in a park which had spread to and impacted a house, while crews from Blacktown, Parramatta, Yennora, Concord and St Mary’s (again) were responded to the persons reported house fire – having been moved up to cover area.
St Marys posted this footage of their internal primary search of the building to confirm no occupants were still trapped inside.

I founded Flashover to promote Australian Firefighting. I’ve been a volunteer and a paid firefighter but now I spend my time chasing up leads, promoting good mental health and making the occasional Grumpy Firecom comic!
