Firefighters were called to a unit block in Liverpool New South Wales and arrived to find the 16th floor alight. Poor mains pressure and a lack of constructed hydrant points required a 7th alarm response with appliances relay pumping from over a 1km away. Firefighters also had to carry gear up the stairs to prevent fire extension to lower floors.

The 14th, 15th and 17th floors were damaged by fire and crews were carrying equipment up to the 12th floor as a staging area.
