The NSW Rural Fire Service has unveiled its latest rescue appliance for Mungindi at the Rural Fire Service Association conference. Based on the SES Medium Rescue Design, this appliance will carry no firefighting capabilities to ensure it is not tasked to fire operations and remain available for rescue coverage.
This is the first rescue vehicle of its kind for the RFS, who recently have been endorsed by the State Rescue Board to provide rescue coverage in areas where the closest current Road Crash Rescue appliance is over 60 minutes away.
“The equipment selected and stowed on the appliance is based on current best practice techniques, manufactures and specifications”.
