As far as training centers go, the Melbourne Fire Brigade have one of the best. Have a look at this video, taken of the cargo ship live fire training prop.
Have you ever wondered how the fire brigade practice fighting fires on ships? They build a fake ship! Representatives from AMSA's response division spent last week visiting MFB (Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade) where they were shown around the training facility. The centre includes this replica ship which can simulate many different types of fire which could occur on board a ship. Special thanks to the team at the MFB for allowing us to share this drone footage captured during the visit.

I founded Flashover to promote Australian Firefighting. I’ve been a volunteer and a paid firefighter but now I spend my time chasing up leads, promoting good mental health and making the occasional Grumpy Firecom comic!
